Keep On Walking (Paris)

Today i can easily say that i walked nearly whole day.
My plan was to start from home and to go to the Cathedral Notre Dame and after look around.
On my way to the Cathedral what a surprise :))) i saw LADUREE and jumped into the store. I was very lucky that the store wasn't crowded because normally you have to wait in the line a lot to buy some yummy pastries.
Also, the reason why i jumped to the store was i want  their lovely macaroon box, so i can take better pictures of my crochet macaroons.

My new crochet macaroons with LADUREE box :)

Above all,  the main reason was their macaroons :))
They are the best. They are so and so delicious. Worth every penny.
I didn't see all LADUREE shops in Paris yet but this one has a restaurant in it and it is very very cute. If you already haven't been there, i strongly suggest this one.
The address is 21, Rue Bonaparte 75006
After taking my macaroon box and macaroons i kept on walking :O))
My plan is to keep macaroons for ''Metin and i'' but i thought i must try one. Then another one and another and suddenly realized that all macaroons are finished :/

Cathédrale Notre-Dame

After eating all the macaroons finally i arrived to Notre Dame. Such a beautiful Cathedral both from outside and inside.

These two windows are gorgeous. Looks like a rose and i think they are called Rose Windows. I Just stayed there and watched the windows for a while, such a beauty.

Another picture from the Cathedral. Actually i bought audio guide but never used it. Inside is so impressing that you don't even need it :) I only used it for the treasury part.

The entrance view of the Cathedral

Another outside view

I took this picture while waiting outside for the line to go up and see the wonderful view.
But there were too many people on the line so i left the line and went to Saint Michel to look around.
I just get lost on the streets and accidentally i went to this passage and saw this wonderful bar, restaurant, cafe and pastry place.

Un Dimanche A Paris

Metin said their pastry teacher showed them this place as a modern pastry shop in Paris. This place's name is Un Dimanche A Paris.
I have no idea how i found this place but i am writing here the address also for me too.
4-6-8, Cour de Commerce Saint Andre , Saint Germain Des Pres
Also if you click on the title of the photo you can take a closer look at the place.
They have wonderful macaroons with yoghurt and strawberry. Since i ate all LADUREE macaroons i bought these ones for Metin and i can happily say that i didn't eat these ones :DD.

Pierre Herme

On my way home there is a Pierre Herme shop. I was planing to buy something but it was very crowded so i skipped that one, but i strongly suggest Pierre Herme macaroons and ALL things in this shop. Actually there is a beautiful place near the shop where you can buy your sweets and you can sit in this beautiful place called Saint Sulpice. Here are some photos from Place Saint Suplice.

Place Saint Sulpice

There is a also Eglise Saint Sulpice. You can also visit this place too.
It is time to go home i was freezing as always. The weather was very good in the morning but in the afternoon it started to get cold.

Always ending with Metin's pastry :( in my next post i will start with his pastry works.
I am telling to all couples if you don't like cooking or if you don't have time to cook well you must support your partner to go to the pastry school. On my way home i went to the market and bought something for dinner but hubby come home with his wonderful cakes. What a lovely evening :O)
He said you don't have to cook i bring these cakes for dinner :O))
What a wonderful sentence please say one more time :DDD
Here are Metin's art works. These ones are savory. This week's pastry arts are savory things, just perfect :O) This one used to be a big square but we forget to take picture before we eat so last pieces of Metin's slaty cake with cheese.

Before

And the last piece goes to me :) Yesterday Metin also brought a wonderful savory cake called cake salle with feta, basil and dried tomatos but we finished it in 5 minutes so sadly i don't have a photo of that one :((

After ( last piece goes to me :))

This one is very very yummy too. There is goat cheese and potatoes inside. This half only rested there for a second :O)

Today's Menu Crochet Macarons and Jardin du Luxembourg

Before starting my day, i would like to show you my new listings which i enjoyed a lot making :)
The story behind is so interesting. I can easily say suddenly. While we were sitting in a cafe with Metin,  just both of us thought i should make macarons from crochet...and here they are wish you like them.
They are available at my online store.

Today's Menu
Menu Du Jour :))
Well since Metin is at pastry school i have loots of time to look around. Today i started with buying some new yarns for my crochet macarons (http://www.etsy.com/listing/68351051/french-macarons). Then i went to Rue du Bac. If anyone didn't see this street, please you must see just amazing and amazing. There are sweet shops both on the left and right of the street and i was crossing the road all the time with jumping one shop to another. After Rue du Bac, i bought some yummy macarons since i can't eat mines i have to eat one and i went to Luxembourg Park. (Jardin Du Luxembourg)
This park is really really wonderful. Just a wonderful silent area in the crowed city like Paris and actually not so far from our home only 15 minutes walking distance.

The entrance of the Park
I don't know how many entrances this park has but i think a lot so you can buy your sandwich and drink and you can jump in the park from many places.

Here are some pictures of the park. Actually, while i was walking i saw very interesting things which you can see below :DDD

Here is a good place where you can eat your sandwich and listen to your music or read your book. When i was 18 my cousin brought me to Luxembourg Park to look for a painting gallery in park i didn't understand how amazing park was at that time but actually now this place is a heaven for me :)

Views from Park

Definitely, i will going to bring my nephew when he will come to Paris for a pony ride :))) but he will probably be looking for dinosaurs :))

Tennis courts in The Park
I had hard times to take this photo because when people notice that i am taking their photos they just stopped playing tennis :))

Well this was very very interesting. I asked for permission for photography and then took these photos. I asked them what they are doing. I think he said Tai Chi. Now after googling i know what it is :))
After the third photo  its time for me to GOOoo. :)

Uncomfy chair
These chairs are very uncomfortable, but i just love them. Actually really don't know why :)))

Another view from another entrance
I was just going to finish my writing and will start making crochet macarons, Metin just came home with Pierre Herme Tarte which is called Tarte Infiniment Cafe. He said that sometime ago, Pierre Herme gave this recipe to Ferrandi School, in order to be added to the curriculum.  (http://www.pierreherme.com/retrait-boutique/product.cgi?pid=333&cwsid=7776ph0A000108ph7815610)

When you eat a pice of that cake it's just wonderful that i remember i used to dip some bread in the nescafe with milk and with this cake you just tasted the same taste. This one is my favorite in all cakes in the world so a big YUMMY for this cake.

Yummies From Hubby And Bazaar Blvd Egar Quinet

We will be living in Paris for one year so French Pastry must be on my blog.
Since my husband is going to a pastry school, i would like to share his yummy works with you.
He is going to Ferrandi Pastry school (http://www.egf.ccip.fr/international/) Here is the link you can take a closer look at the school.

Here he is with his uniform. I will take a better picture later. This one was taken with iphone because, sadly we lost our photograph machine when we first came to Paris, but finally bought another one. Actually i am planing to go to his school to take a better picture of him with his uniform and friends.

First week, i waited and waited for tarts. Finally on Friday he came home with 4 tarts. Actually for dinner we ate 4 tarts. Just unbelievable! From left to right Tarte aux pommes (apple tart)Tarte Poire (Pear Tarte), Tarte Amande (Amande tart) and my favorite one Tarte au Flan (Flan Tart)
Please look at the edges of the tarts, just looks amazing. Now we can criticize the tarts from pastry shops and we could say ''hmmm edges not look so well :)) ''

This week they continue to make tarts which i am not complaining. I just love ALL French tarts and very very happy that hubby is bringing tarts to home :)))
This week's tarts :)))
From left to right Tarte aux pommes (Apple tarts), Tarte Poire (Pear tarte), Tarte Linzer (Framboise tart) i just i tried farmboise tart then try again and then tried again and ups tart is finished :))). Under the framboise tart there is the Tarte a l'orange (Orange tart) and next to orange tart here is the Tarte aux Pommes but different version i loved and loved that one too.
We will gain looots of weights that's for sure :))

Have to add this tart too Tarte aux cholcolat (Chocolate tart)

Here is Metin, while adding chocolate on the tart. He looks very funny with his chef hat :)) I always thought he will have this kind of chef hat but thats funny :))

My Story

Hi and Welcome to my Blog

Little story about me

My name is Beliz.I was born in Izmir , Turkey.
Right now me and hubby, we are living in Paris, France for hubbies pastry school.
I love crochet and knitting.I would like to share my designs and hubbies pastry with views from Paris.
Very small story how i started to crochet.

I started doing cross stitch when i was very young. At that time of my life i had other priorities like college and i eventually gave up. After college, i worked in a bank for a couple of years.
Sometime after quitting my bank job, i grew attention to cross stitching again. A while later it led me to learn how to crochet. Now i can' t stop myself.I love making colorful and sweet hats, flowers, butterflies , necklaces , bracelets , crochet over wooden bead , head bands , neck warmers ..etc. from crochet.
